DDKick3 — Node-Based Kick/Drum Synthesizer
Core Synthesis
- Single pitch-swept oscillator (sine/saw/square, continuously morphable) driving a punchy, classic drum-synth voice
- 4-voice polyphony with automatic voice-stealing
- Base Frq knob sets the pitch floor; Note → Base Frq toggle lets incoming MIDI notes control the base pitch directly, for tuned kicks/toms across a keyboard
- Master ADSR envelope (Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release) shapes the overall amplitude
- Loop mode retriggers all envelopes together at a set interval for pulsing/gated textures
8 Freeform Envelope Tabs — the heart of the design Every shaping parameter is drawn, not knobbed: up to 256 nodes per curve, each with adjustable bend/curvature, all sharing one Time-synced x-axis so every envelope lines up visually against the others and against a live waveform preview:
- Pitch — the frequency sweep that defines the kick’s character , Frequency and Note popups for Nodes
- Amp — the oscillator’s own amplitude shape
- AmpFX — drives the distortion/clip wet mix over time
- Noise — shapes the noise layer’s level
- Filter Cutoff / Filter Resonance — animates the filter over the hit
- Waveform — morphs the oscillator between sine, saw, and square as the hit evolves
- Master Amp — a final independent amplitude stage stacked after everything else, for tail-shaping/ducking effects
Layers & Processing
- Noise layer (White/Pink/Brown) with its own level, highpass, and envelope — for click, snap, and transient layering
- Multimode filter: Low-pass/Band-pass/High-pass/Notch, 2/4/6-pole slopes, switchable pre or post distortion, with its own dry/wet Filter Mix
- AmpFX chain: 3-mode clipper (Clip/Mirror/Wrap) + 6 distortion algorithms + a tone-shaping highpass, Mix or Sum blend

Modifier-free curve editing: drag to move a node, double-click to add/remove/reset curvature, plain drag to bend a segment
Live waveform preview that renders the entire actual signal chain in real time — what you see is exactly what plays
