Turn the SQWIZ dial and it simultaneously drives a feed-forward compressor and a soft clipper \u2014 the more you push, the tighter and louder the signal gets, without the pumping artifacts of a traditional compressor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What makes it different<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most clippers just hard-limit a signal. SQWizard compresses first, then shapes the peaks \u2014 so you get density and punch without harshness. The result sits loud in a mix without fighting other elements for space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key controls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SQWIZ<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 the main drive. Controls clip ceiling and compression threshold simultaneously. Turn up for more squeeze and saturation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MODE<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 attack\/release speed. Low values = snappy transients preserved. High values = smooth, glued sound.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>THR<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 gap between compression threshold and clip ceiling. Wider gap = more dynamic compression before clipping kicks in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CLIP<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 Soft (warm tanh saturation) or Hard (aggressive, punchy ceiling).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OVRX<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 oversampling up to 16x, reduces aliasing on the clipped harmonics for cleaner high end.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MIX<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 parallel processing. Blend dry signal back in to preserve punch while adding density.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OUT<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 output trim after processing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good for<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drums, buses, bass, vocals \u2014 anything that needs to hit harder and sit louder without going over 0 dBFS.
